Automated hero images for marketplace listings
Removed a repeat manual image-production step from the listing flow and made new marketplace listings feel more consistent.
After product images were found, new listings still needed consistent hero assets. Built an automation that applies a consistent template with AI framing and shadows, so marketplace photos look polished without a photoshoot.
The Problem
Offshore contractors were spending too much time downloading selected images, dropping them into the template, exporting again, then uploading everything back into the marketplace. With the volume of listings moving through the team, keeping final hero images consistent across all items was hard to maintain.
What I Built
Built an automated flow that took selected product images, applied my hero-image template, and pushed the finished assets back into Ghost's listing database. PhotoRoom handled the visual adjustments needed for consistent merchandising, Airtable stored the listing IDs and gave the team a simple trigger to run the process, and n8n handled the workflow so no one had to do the manual production steps anymore.
