type / rhythm weight
Type that types back
Type anything. Each letter's weight is how fast you pressed it - burst heavy, hesitate light. The pauses show too: hang before a word and the space breathes open; rip a run and the words pack tight. Keep up a fast run and the type overheats red; slow down and it cools. Stop, and it all thins and fades.
Inter-keystroke interval maps to font-weight on an S-curve centered on your own recent tempo, so everyday variation swings the full 100-900 axis instead of clustering mid-weight. The space before a word stretches with the resume gap (180 ms-2.2 s -> tight-to-wide), so rests render as spacing. A separate heat accumulator rises with sustained speed and decays over time; each glyph freezes its heat as a red color-mix. Idle decay ticks after 4 s.
